Giving Back
In February 2010 Dr. Alan Larsen, Dr. Maurice Goins, and RNs Sonya Kennedy, Chato Cabrera and Eleanor Washburn served with the LEAP Foundation. Their Atlanta Surgical Team took 400 pounds of medical supplies from MedShare to Haiti to perform a week’s worth of surgeries on earthquake victims and worked tirelessly at Haitian Community Hospital and Adventist Hospital in Carrefour, where the epicenter of the earthquake hit.
All of the hard work, effort and dedication that was provided is cherished and appreciated! It is a blessing when such skilled individuals are willing and able to give back and help those in need and crisis. Thank you all for providing Roovens, and the many others treated, health, hope and inspiration!
