The fat transfer lip augmentation is done under general or local anesthesia. Dr. Larsen will remove a small amount of fat from another part of your body with minimally invasive liposuction treatment. Then those fat cells are then injected into the tissue of your lips until the desired fullness is achieved.
There are many benefits to this procedure, and the results can last for years. Most patients agree that their lips look and feel natural. The chance of an allergic reaction is almost non-existent. No incisions are needed in the lips. However this procedure does require a surgical component and although minimal, all surgeries have associated risks. Most patients experience little to no difficulty in the recovery from this procedure and can expect to return to work within a few days.
