Dermal filler injections are quick and pain-free, and a numbing agent is used before the injection process. Most appointments only take about 45 minutes and allow you to do normal activities immediately after your appointment, but avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours
Before and Aftercare
After your dermal filler injection, it is normal to experience some mild tenderness, swelling, bruising, or redness in the area of injection. These issues typically resolve within a few days to a week after treatment. We recommend avoiding any extreme heat for 48 hours (including sauna, warm showers, etc).
Your LUX Med Spa provider will provide other immediate post-injection guidelines to ensure the safety and success of your dermal fillers. In addition, post care you should avoid makeup or use retinol or tretinoin etc until the next day. No dental appointments or vaccinations for 2 weeks before or after treatment. Avoid anything that thins the blood(aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vit E, alcohol, etc for at least 72 hours prior to injection.
