With a dermal injection, most patients can return to their normal activities within the same day. However, if you receive a fat transfer enhancement, you might require a few days of rest before returning to normal activities. This is because of the surgical component, and recovery is largely dependent on where the fat cells are grafted from.
Immediately following your procedure you’re lips will look slightly plumper then the actual result will be. Within a few days, your body will absorb a bit of the fat or filler injected and your actual results will be visible. It’s normal to feel tender in the area where you received the injection. Most patients report a feeling of tightness across their lips.
